Sprint changes its iPhone For Life plan to include the new Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Sprint has just updated its iPhone For Life plan to include the new Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. For $80 a month, plan members get to lease the 16GB iPhone 6 while receiving unlimited talk, text and data. This works out to a $50 month charge for using the Sprint pipeline, and $30 a month to lease the phone.

You don't have to settle for the 16GB model of the iPhone 6. You can sign up for the iPhone For Life plan with a 64GB iPhone 6 ($85 a month) or the 128GB version of the device ($90 a month). And if it's the phablet-sized iPhone that you want, you can replace the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus for the 16GB model ($85 a month), 64GB model ($90 a month) or 128GB model ($95 a month).

According to Sprint, the iPhone For Life plan using the 16GB iPhone 6 will save you $445 over T-Mobile's comparable plan, $570 over a somewhat similar plan from AT&T, and $667 over the plan from Verizon that matches Sprint's offering as closely as possible. Keep in mind that you are not purchasing the iPhone from Sprint, you are merely leasing it. This means that when the 12 months is up, you do not have ownership of the handset.
